*warm temperatures year-round; range from 68° - 86°F (20 to 30°C)
wet season - also known as the summer season, it lasts for six to eight months. the climate is usually warm and it rains a lot. monsoons usually start around late may; it rains up to 15 to 25 inches a year. weather is hot and very humid; veldtclan cats usually shed more during the wet season. besides the balmy atmosphere and sweltering heat, it can rain for hours at a time, which makes the savanna prone to flooding. riotous vegetation and wild grasses are prominent and there is an abundance of prey.
dry season - also known as the winter season, it lasts for five to six months. very little rain falls during this season, which allows droughts to prevail. it begins with tempestuous and very violent thunderstorms which blows in strong winds. combined with the dry weather, fires are common. plants shrivel up and wither, and many rivers and lakes dry up. there is not much prey available.
