the valley carving its way through the world, creating a fissure that splits the earth in two, the valley holds many secrets. the river snaking through it flows and churns and thrives, shining with glassy clarity. it is the lifeblood of basaltclan's territory, sweeping past them in elegant twists and turns. the craggy cliff faces that shelter the river loom over it, speckled with silvery-gray moss and riotous vegetation that cling to their sheer sides. the valley passes by basaltclan.

misty burrows acting as the veins of the underworld, these overcast tunnels serve their purpose as a twisting labyrinth that only the most patient can learn to navigate through the foreboding darkness. the tight, claustrophobic walls loom at the corners of any cat's vision, threatening to cave in, sending electric shots of fear zinging through their bodies, urging them to pad faster. these harrowing paths act as guides, leading cats to the mystical glistening pebbles. tending to flood often from excess snow in newleaf, the tunnel walls have been weathered down over the years, leaving them smooth instead of jagged. |

twolegplace located near sepiaclan territory, an old railroad severs it in half like a guillotine would to a head, iron tracks tangled with vines and sawbriar. acting as a resting stop for weary travelers, it welcomes all from far and wide. a gas station slumbers on one side, lights flickering, and dusty roads climb through the forest, slithering their way through the greenery like snakes. there is nothing special about the twolegplace and few twolegs inhabit this desolate place.

the bleak hollow peering into the dimly-lit cavern, once you step in, you are greeted by the wet, cool scent of stone. dripping stalactites hang from the vast ceiling, rivulets of ground water trickling from above. padding deeper into the hollow, the cavern reveals a subterranean pool of clear water that stretches far into the endless darkness. an ethereal light seems to emanate from the water, shimmering and ghostly as it extends along the jagged cavern walls. it is a sacred place where the new basaltclan leader goes to endure three tests given to them by their spectral ancestors to determine whether they are worthy to lead their clan to greatness or not. |

glistening pebbles a weeping waterfall hemmed with frazil-silver pours from a rock face overgrown with verdant moss, and feeds into a small pool of water. lustrous stones jut from the bank, overlaying one another in graceful discordance, shining in the light with sparkles like diamonds blessed with celestial fire. distinguished leaders from three of the four clans - sepiaclan, veldtclan, and basaltclan - sit on these luminous stones each gathering, while the rest of their clanmates intermingle by the dry pebbles. stepping stones lead the way into this enclave. |
